Oxegen Festival Information

Oxegen is an annual music festival, the first of which occurred in 2004, sponsored by Heineken. It was previously called Witnness, and ran from 2000 being sponsered by Guinness. It takes place at the Punchestown Racecourse, Co. Kildare in the Republic of Ireland and has an average attendance of around 80,000 people per day, with around half of these camping on site for the duration of the event, and the rest travelling to the site each day.

While Oxegen has not yet reached the “Legendary” status of Glastonbury, it still manages to attract a large number of top class artists each year.

As well as 6 stages of music, there are 2 huge areas for camping which are numerically subdivided. There are also stalls and shops all around the enclosed area, and excellent toilet areas.
